Year:1967 Mileage:58200
Location:

Whitmore Lake, Michigan, United States

Whitmore Lake, Michigan, United States

Overall very good, all original and unrestored, 100% driveable, very clean.  Garage kept, never driven in winter.  No accidents or body repairs.  One owner since 1972, purchased from Chrysler Dealer at that time. In garage storage from 1993 to 2013, now on the road again, driving beautifully.

·       Spent about $2500 on new parts to make completely roadworthy (invoices available).

·       Engine, trans, axle, suspension all in very good condition.  Body, underbody, and paint all in very good condition.  Clean interior.  All instrument panel gauges in working condition.

·       New items installed after garage storage:

o   Brakes: all new - front calipers, disc brake pads, rear brake hardware and shoes, master cylinder, brake fluid flush and new fluid.  Clean and repack front wheel bearings.

o   Engine:  all new - coil and resistor, dual accessory belts, upper and lower radiator hoses, synthetic blend oil and filter.  New engine antifreeze coolant - green.

o   Tires:  4 new Hancook whitewall.  Two spare wheels with old tires mounted.

o   Drain and flush fuel tank and lines, new fuel hose to fuel pump.

·       Verified fully functional condition:

o   6-way power driver’s side, manual passenger side seats, blue cloth with leather trim.

o   6 power windows including powered vent windows, fresh air vents under dash.

o   Tilt and telescope steering wheel, no cracks in steering wheel, horns work.

o   All lights, turn signals, AM radio with powered antenna that works.  My dad installed an FM radio in place of the ashtray, ashtray in the lockable glove box.

Climate control heater and vent fans (front and back), A/C works, but could use a recharge soon.

The muffler is a little loud, not bad, but will need some attention at some point.  The car has been repainted sometime in the past, there are some areas where paint had peeled in storage, that have been touched up with a spray can.

I am selling this car for my next door neighbor, who does not have an ebay account.  I can give his phone number to serious buyers for direct contact.

UAW urging Chrysler to sell shares to investors

Thu, 10 Jan 2013

The United Auto Workers union is pushing Chrysler to sell 16.6 percent of its stock to investors in an attempt to establish the value of the shares. The UAW is currently locked in a lawsuit with Chrysler parent company Fiat over how much the Italian automaker should pay to buy shares from the trust fund. Last year, Fiat told the trust it intended to exercise its right to purchase 3.3 percent of the union's shares at issue. But the union contended the 54,154 shares were worth closer to $381 million instead of the $155 million Fiat offered.
Currently, the UAW owns 41.5 percent of Chrysler while Fiat holds 58.5 percent of the company. Currently, it's unclear whether the UAW could force Chrysler to put the shares on the open market. Doing so would be the first step toward a much-anticipated initial public offering. Chrysler has said it will comply with its shareholders agreement, and Fiat has echoed that tune. According to The Detroit Free Press, the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust has declined to comment on the situation.

Fiat to list on New York Stock Exchange?

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Citing the ever-nebulous "two sources close to Fiat," Reuters is reporting that the Italian automaker and owner of the Chrysler brand is likely to list itself on the New York Stock Exchange. The move could reportedly happen as soon as 2015, marking the end, at least in the minds of investors, of Fiat's 115-year base in Turin, Italy.
The Italian government is not likely to react favorably to Fiat's potential move from Italy to the United States, despite initially positive reactions to Fiat's landmark final purchase of Chrysler, the third-largest automaker in the US. Fiat spent $3.65 billion to buy out the 41.46-percent stake in Chrysler that had been owned by the United Auto Workers' VEBA trust fund.
With little sign of a swift European recovery, Fiat has little choice but to focus on markets outside its traditional home, and a listing in New York could potentially be a boon for investors. According to International Strategy and Investment analyst George Galliers, speaking to Reuters, "People [would be] more likely to think of the entity in the same context as they do Ford and GM" if it were listed on the NYSE.

Automakers donating money, vehicles and supplies to Oklahoma tornado relief effort

Fri, 24 May 2013

Judging by the destruction the Oklahoma City area experienced earlier this week, residents are going to need a lot of help in coming months. Fortunately, a number of automakers - including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota - have stepped up to donate money, supplies and vehicles to aid in the recovery and rebuilding processes.
Here's a quick rundown of which automakers have pitched in and what each contributed so far:
Ford Motor Company has donating $250,000 and a Transit Connect to the American Red Cross, and it will match all other donations made to the Red Cross (up to $250,000) using a special URL tied to the latter's website (link here). Additionally, its local Oklahoma dealers have thrown in an extra $150,000 for the United Way and the automaker will be offering an extra $500 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.
