1931 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan. Frame Off Restoration. N California Car. Awesome! on 2040-cars

Year:1931 Mileage:124
Location:

Hi, up for auction is my 1931 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan. This is a beautiful car, runs and looks amazing as seen in the pictures. This was a frame off restoration, down to every nut and bolt. No expense was taken when the Tudor went thru the restoration. Done to exact specs, the car was restored as it would have left from the factory. All material on the restoration is period correct, and done to perfection. The attention to detail is amazing. This is a older restoration, and, has only logged 124 miles since it's completion!! She starts up every time and on the first twist of the key, she runs and drives excellent. I just had the 'ol mighty "A" down the country road last weekend for lunch, she get's more attention and thumbs up than you will know what to do with!! She sounds great, and is solid on the road. The windows roll up and down with ease, all the glass is perfect, doors open and close awesome. The '31 has the luggage rack and trunk that will go with the sale of the car as well. The pictures speak for themselves, but if there is a specific picture you would like to see, please ask. The Ford is located here in the San Francisco bay area, and is available to be seen and drive/enjoyed in person, just let me know!!
Please feel free to contact me with any and all questions you may have, you can call direct at (650)400-8836

Ford jumps back in the water with marinized 6.2L V8

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

Nameplates like the Mercury Mariner and Lincoln Navigator aside, Ford hasn't offered a marine engine in over two decades. But through a new partnership with one of the biggest names in the business, the Dearborn-based automaker is dipping its proverbial toes back in the water.
Announced yesterday at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the new partnership between Ford Component Sales and Indmar Marine Engines will see the 6.2-liter V8 from the F-150 SVT Raptor and F-Series Super Duty marinized for use in boats.
The largest privately owned inboard gasoline marine engine manufacturer in the world, Indmar has been in the business for 43 years, and figures the Ford V8 will be just what watersport enthusiasts are looking for to tow waterskiers and wakeboarders to their hearts' content.

Ford issues six recalls covering 101,000 vehicles for multiple issues

Tue, 08 Jul 2014

Ford is announcing six separate recalls for a variety of issues affecting a dozen models and a total of 100,610 vehicles in North America. However, according to Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker, "None of them have caused accidents or injuries." Half of them cover fewer than 1,000 cars.
The largest recall covers 92,022 North American examples (about 83,250 in the US) of some models of the Ford Taurus, Lincoln MKS, Ford Interceptor, Flex and Lincoln MKT from the 2013 and 2014 model years; the 2012-2014 Edge and the 2014 Lincoln MKX. All of them have a potential issue with the halfshaft on the right side that might not be fully seated and could move outward over time. If it shifts too far, the models may no longer be able to drive, and the condition could also allow the vehicles to roll away, even when in Park. Dealers will inspect the shaft to make sure it's seated and will replace the part if necessary.
The next-largest recall covers 5,264 North American examples (4,867 in the US) of the Ford F59 Commercial Stripped Chassis from the 2011-2014 model years. It's possible that an electrical junction box can corrode in areas with salty roads and short circuit. The problem could potentially cause a fire. Dealers will replace the box with an improved design.

Fallon picks Ford F-150 King Ranch, launches dealership contest

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

New truck! Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show has been searching for the perfect new truck for a few weeks now, soliciting help from all corners in the process. Last night, Fallon made the announcement that the Ford F-150 King Ranch - in all of its cowboy glory - had been picked as his big winner.
To add some more spice to a storyline that now dips deeply into the realm of the advertorial, Fallon also announced a contest to see which Ford dealership would get the privilege of selling him the King Ranch. Dubbed "Fingers on a 4x4" The Tonight Show has invited 10 dealer reps from around the country to keep their hands on Jimmy's F-150 for as long as possible. Last salesperson standing wins.
Watch Fallon make his pick and introduce the dealer reps below, and be sure to click on the second video for a live-streaming feed of Fingers on a 4x4 in action (the contest seems to be going strong).
